High Beam indicator always on

1995 Caprice wagon - new to me.
whenever i turn the headlights on, the high beam indicator comes on. the high beams and low beams work as they should.
i have tried another high beam/low beam switch and it still stays on.
I have also cleaned and re-secured the grounds to the radiator support.

the car did have an alarm previously installed, which i removed, but the light still stays on as long as the head lights are on.


any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check the grounds at the bottom of the driver's side Q pillar?

I am assuming you meant A-Pillar...
If so, I have not checked there yet. I will do that next
