Busted an exhaust hanger last week and the resulting "bob" of the tailpipe took out my 4 year old summit turbo's. Took it to the shop to get the hangers replaced and noticed that the mufflers are trashed. Ordered the magnaflows. Anyone here have them on their wagon? Youtube came up empty.
Setup after next Tuesday: stock manifold, stock cats, 2.5" pipes out to after the wheel and the magnaflows.

I do, but I don't have duals and I don't have an LT1.
<_< But FWIW I like the way it sounds. There's no drone, and it sounds perfectly subdued when you're just tooling around town, but when you get on it, it's there and everyone around you knows it.

You will like the sound...I don't have a clip, but used to have them on my '68 Impala. LOVED it.
I do like the sound of my Hooker Aero's better though. Deeper tone IMO. You best post up some soundclips!

Wish I had a real camera, or at least a phone from this decade to record with (might be changing that this weekend. )

I'm happy with my X-pipes. But I don't want an exhaust that sets off car alarms.

When are you putting your headers on?

That has turned out to be a Logistical nightmare! They were too pitted to use. Looked "rusty" even after the recoat.
Going to keep the stock exhaust manifolds for the time being.

Oh... Got pics of them? I'm surprised they look rusty re-coated. Did they get sandblasted before the recoat?

I made a poor attempt to sandblast, so I used sandpaper and a wire brush to remove the rust, then recoated. Now there is minor rust in the seams, but it's the pitting that looks bad. Too pitted for a car show at least, so I can't use them.

<- another guy who doesn't have an X or H pipe because of the sound. True separate duals give you the V8 in stereo.
Sorry those headers aren't working out. Sell 'em!

Nothing wrong with either single or stock exhaust. Just wanted something more......
Good news is that I get the benefits of true duals with the sleeper effect of stock sound.
Maybe if I remove the cats.........

Bah. Then he owes it to his grandkids to have that thing as loud and badass as humanly possible so they learn early what it is to be cool.
