| Had an absolutely fantastic time. Sorry that I didn't hook up with everybody, though it was great finally meeting Bill, Bob, Chris (whose AGW is the reason my DD is a BRMW and not a Volvo R), Ric and Stingroo. Special thanks to Sprocket (for pushing this into the event it bacame) and his family (for giving *my* family a fun time away from the show). Mick's now hooked on collecting Junior Park Ranger Badges like Naya. There sure was a lot to motivate a guy out there on the green. You'll love Turkey Run, Sting. It's even bigger (though it has a different feel). I've got a feeling that the WagonFest SE has just become a tradition. -Scott McGrath '96 Roadmaster Estate Ltd. - Last of the Great American Wagons http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2762557 ISSCA#2229 BCA#43406 BMD#115 | |

I've got a feeling that the WagonFest SE has just become a tradition. Oh you bet. I know I'll be going back next year. And hey, with any luck, returning from Turkey Run with a '64 Olds (Hey, a guy can dream! And at least the raffle money went to a good cause that I already support. ) |

It was great to meet you (finally in person) and your wagon. Loved it!! You have done so many great custom touches..I can't believe how you have time to work on it since your wife takes it every Sat. Lol I didn't know I had sway over a Volvo R! Glad the AGW could help out See you next year! | |

| Yeah, he got my gears turning and my dad's too! Dad's going to help me find a new fender and bumper cover, and going to teach me the ways of bondo for the rust spots I have. Full chalkboard wagon with silver two tone. Coming to a Turkey Run near you. |

| I have a side story but it needs it's own thread.....on to the photos which is what you all want anyway! Hotel Parking lot when I arrived. Darn! Wrong kind of Cougars at this hotel I went downstairs and finished up prep on Purple Haze (to be covered in another thread) and headed back upstairs and Chris called. I hooked him up with a bucket and rag to wash off the love bugs and then he pulled his car up next to mine and I got some paint out for finishing touches which you saw pics of, lol. next morning meeting up near the Holiday Inn for the cruise in. ImpalaSSDude leading the drive in. He was on his way in his SS when the AC compressor blew up slicing lines and what not, good thing he had a back up wagon!! Over the shoulder shot on the drive in Wagons all lined up. The 'official' count was 16, but I counted 18 at the high point, including Bill Harper's (Navy Lifer) and Bob Borcher's which were parked away from the other wagons. Same row from the other end. Aside from RH96SS Impala on the left, the rest are all wagons. We bested last years turn out of 10 wagons and actually had more wagons than sedans this year which REALLY surprised me. Wicked Pro Street Impala and the only Vintage Impala in the show within the show. Nick just kept taking pictures of these two. The girl with the legs to next week owns the red sedan. Normally, I don't like fire engine red, but I LOVED this B-Body. Tasteful and just awesome paint (she won best paint). Sharp 96SS from ISSF awesome blown LSx motor. You should hear this thing. Instant woodgrain! lol Someone tell me WTF this is please. It confused me, then I got distracted by something else and never figured out what it was. this guy was cruising around on Sunday in his Nomad. Won best muscle car in the whole show. The Clampette's Fire Engine! Future Car Model Nice couple owned this one. They've done the Power Tour in it. Absolutely Stupid. So Stupid I'm totally in love with it. I watched it drive out and was amazed how quiet it was. | |
