| Besides the ABS flashing light to read the controller, does anyone know of scan software or tool for the 1994 type ABS.
Thanks Randy | |

| For the fronts (and 99% of the time the light is due to a bad front wheel sensor) you can disconnect the wiring at the wheel, then spin the wheel while measuring the resistance (or is is mV...?). No change means bad sensor, I believe. Going from memory here... | |

| I just pulled the bulb out and called it a day, lol. ABS parts aren't cheap. | |

| I did the same when I installed new drop spindles, and did not install the sensors. I can outbrake the ABS any day.
The connectors for the ABS get extremely brittle, and can crumble without touching them. Check the connectors first if you decide to fix the system. | |

| I would also check to make sure the unit itself isn't starting to leak. Had that happen to my OCC. $1500.00 for a reman unit at the parts store so I tried one from my local Pull-a-part. So far so good brakes work better than before, and my light is gone | |

| Most people do not use the antilock system frequently, so you should have a good chance of finding a working unit in the junk yards. They aren't exactly cheap there either, but substantially less than the reman units. | |

| I may have upset a wire or, some thing when I tinkered with the brake line. I'll have to see how much the used parts place wants. If the price is out there I'll go manual and pull the plug. I never really liked the feel of ABS. The big pulse in the pedal. Thanks Randy | |

| They come with a warranty here too, but they are a good bit more than $60. | |
