WagonFest 2013 - Watkins Glen Thunder Road Tours

The Watkins Glen Thunder Road Tour is on Friday, July 26th, 2013 at 4:30pm

It's 3 paced laps around the famed road coarse, 55mph.... or so, depends on who's pacing this year, and/or how far you hang back. We can line the wagons up on the starting grid for a group shot, so bring your camera men/women. The track photographer may or may not be there, we won't know until we get there.

The track has our reservation listed under Wagon Fest. Again, It will be Friday July 26th 4:30pm, check in at gate #2.

I have it reserved for 10-20 cars at $25.00 each car, If we get 15 or more cars the price drops to $15.00 per car.

I'm thinking we can all drive down together leaving from the Geneva Wegman's (for last minute pit stops) parking lot at 2:30-2:45pm, stopping in the village of Watkins Glen at "The Shop" to get the tickets, and then heading to the track. It's a nice scenic ride down the west side of Seneca Lake that will take about 45-50 minutes.

For those of you meeting us at the track, pm me we will work out the ticket purchasing.

Passengers of any age are welcome to ride along, so bring the kids..... but leave the screaming wife home;) 

Check your brakes! Make sure they're are up to this.

No sheep this year. Too difficult to clean up the upholstery when they freak out through the esses.

Oh and my speedo read 85 at one point!  OOOPS!!

Yeah about that, Lisa will not be coming this year, so the videographer/commentator will to be on the job!!

I will plan on meeting everyone at "the Shop". I get outta work at 230 and am lving right from there. It'll be just me an the TANK.

The picture the track photographer got of Dave whipping around the track looking through the video camera is pretty funny. Y'all might want to give Dave 8-10 car lengths of space if you end up behind him.

i will not make the trip to the track. i will be heading up friday after work and i will be in a minivan the wagon will not be done in time

Sorry John I am sure it is very disappointing.

Sorry to hear you aren't making the Glen trip or bringing the wagon, but hey look at the bright side, you may win "Best Sedan" with the van.

I will not be attending WF2013, so I will also be bowing out for the Watkins Glen tour. I had a riot at it last year, I was hoping fo the same thrill this year. 2014?
