Smoked headlights suck at night. Several things on the replace and/or repair. Replacing the Vehicle speed sensor coming off the 4L60 tranny. Not getting a pulse feed to the speedometer or the ECM. It came in today from Rock Auto, but thunderstorms are keeping me inside tonight.
I used our Rock Auto forum discount to save a few bucks.
There is a controller under the dash that separates the input from the VSS into a 4000 ppm to the speedo and CC and 2000 ppm signal to the computer (if the gear ratio is correct). If you disconnect the one for the computer the other signal goes up about 10%.

Yes, the buffer attached to the left of the flasher relay box. Both the sensor, buffer, and pigtails have all been replaced, Neither the speedometer nor the ECM is receiving a signal from the buffer.

AS the 2018 season opens, Shammoo has been sitting in a neighbors driveway. It has blown head gaskets, as evidenced by the ballooning radiator hoses and positive exhaust gas tests in the coolant system.
It has been snowing around here, Snow on the Track at Watkins Glen last week for Opening weekend, ans yesterdy, for the AER races (American Endurance Racing series) MY son and I intended to be pit crew members, But only he made it.
I have been under attack of a stomach virus. I have never had such severe dry heaves , so violent and long. and so dizzy for 60 hours. Sneezing rips me apart at the moment. So I have no energy for engine teardowns, nor much of anything else.

Shammoo has been sold to another forum member Adam Szluga of Rochester NY.
My best wishes to all my freinds here at the forum.
My involvement has come to an end.

Time to open a new chapter - glad your wagon project will live on with someone else. I know the feeling.

Hi Andy
Don't know if you crossed paths with Adam, but he has been to several WF's. He has a hearse that he brings. I'll never forget we were down at the park, when Adam arrives with the hearse. At the same time there were some seniors there who were taking a walk. They were really concerned when they saw it.
