um,......that's all relative,.. Doubt he'll paint taxi orange There's not many on this forum that have the guts or the resources to do anything different,. Hugger orange is taxi orange? Hmm,. there's a pile of really cool muscle cars out there painted that color,. a little flashier than the run of the mill lab or mab cars,.

| I'd be painting it Hugger Orange if my interior weren't red.
But... from what I can tell, what I have planned has never been done on a B-body before.
Similar, but not like this.
It will be cool. |

| All the trim categorized by what type of paint it's getting: And scuffing all of that took ages. Some final shaping of the quarter panel, doing a better job than the shop that repaired it last year.... Also, the antenna is officially gone: As are the 5 center roof rib trim pieces: Now I am exhausted. I must go sleep. |

| More progress today... Taping begins. I swear, we used at least two full rolls of tape for this damn car. The rear bumper got a custom treatment. There is a line in the bumper that we decided to fill, to give it a smooth look. Also, there are mounting screws that are normally covered by trim. These screws go into a bracket that is attached to the body of the car at the quarter panel. Instead, we attached the bracket to the bumper with rivets, sanded smooth and filled/prepped everything. This gives a smooth outer appearance, and permanently affixes the bracket to the bumper. Now, to get the bumper off, you just have to bolt the bracket to the body. The only (minor) downside is that you have to take the tail light off to remove the bumper, but really: how often are you doing that? There is a SHITLOAD of trim on this car. Seriously. Good lord. There were 3 more ironing boards with pieces attached. That's all for now... might have to leave the rest a mystery until its official unveiling. Side note: Damn, I have lost a lot of weight. Weird seeing myself in photos now: |

Roll pans are cool, but I'm not too comfortable with compressing the bumper shocks to make one fit. Better go get pics of yours! |

| Window trim and mirrors are back on.
All that's left is the rocker trim, the lights, the bumpers, the roof rack, and interior ****.
Wiring up the new stereo right now. |

But be sure to tighten your lug nuts I don't live on a scummy college campus anymore. They won't be tampered with. Plus, you need the tool to get these caps off anyway. We're good in that department. It MIGHT be coming home tonight, by the way. |
